This Luxury Three Star Hotel is ideally located on the West Clare Coast line, overlooking the sandy beach & Spanish Point Golf Course. The Hotel derives its name from the picturesque bridge that it is located beside - The Bellbridge or in Irish Bealaclugga.

In 1588 one of the Spanish Armada Ships floundered off the coast at Spanish Point. Many were drowned but over 170 survivors made it to shore. However they were greeted by a less than friendly High Sheriff, who executed the survivors. Today, on the sea front stands a huge carved stone, representing a galleon and its inscription in three languages commemorates a conciliatory visit by the King and Queen of Spain in the 1980's.
