A great place to begin your golf adventure in County Down is Banbridge Golf Club. It is located in the heart of beautiful Down County countryside. It is a very challenging 18-hole course. The 10th hole of the course is the most difficult. The club has a well stocked pro shop for all the golf shopping needs of the visitors. A restaurant caters meals to the visitors. A conference room is also available.

Donaghadee Golf Club is worth a visit for the golf enthusiast. It is an 18-hole part links and parkland course. Clubhouse has the essential bar and restaurant to keep the visitors and members refreshed. A snooker room is available to keep visitors busy. A pro shop tends to the shopping needs of the visitors. Club and trolley hire facilities are also available. The 18th hole at this course can be a bit intimidating due to the water hazards.

Royal County Down Golf Club is regarded as one of the world's best golf clubs. This club features two links courses. The Championship Course is world famous and the Second Course is also a great venue for golf. Being one of the most challenging and beautiful courses, Championship course has consistently been rated among the top ten courses of the world. The Second course provides glorious views of the sea, bay and mountains.

Clandeboye Golf Club in County Down is one of the first golf clubs of Ireland. It was built in the 1930's. After years and years of modification, the current building of the clubhouse bears no resemblance to the original single storey wooden clubhouse. Members of this club find it very comfortable and relaxing because their needs are serviced adequately in the clubhouse. The usual bar, restaurant and pro-shop are present here. The Men's Locker room has an informal lounge where sports channels can be viewed. The natural hazards of the 18-hole Ava course make it quite tough. The 18-hole Dufferin course is no slouch either. The slightest error gets punished here so extreme accuracy is required.
