Located only 8 km south of Downpatrick (B176), Bright Castle Golf Club is a hilly parkland course of 7,110 yards and 18 holes. It offers splendid, inspirational views of the Mountains of Mourne. The par five 6th hole was, newly, the longest hole in European golf, measuring an enormous 735 yards from the back tees.
Bright Castle Golf Club is a delightful club with the availability of practice and trolley hire facilities and welcomes everyone warmly. Catering facility is also available for refreshment. This golf club offers some of the fantastic views and is a 'must' visit for anyone who goes to Down.
