Renvyle House is a romantic old country house on its own farm, dating from 1883. Once the home of Oliver St John Gregory, this was where Yeats stayed on his honeymoon. Renvyle is famous for relaxed ambience and friendly welcome, with turf fires, cosy lounges, 9-hole golf course and award-winning food.
Accommodation
Some of our bedrooms do still have turf fires; they are infinitely more spacious and luxurious these days. The restful colour schemes reflect the beautiful surroundings and cater to your every need. Family suites and family rooms are also available.
There are 65 comfortable bedrooms, nearly all with views of the mountains, ocean and islands, and great sunsets. All rooms are en-suite with bath and shower, remote control TV, direct-dial phone.
Restaurant & Bar
The hotel enjoys an award winning restaurant which features a wide range of Irish and Continental cuisine. Irish beef, Connemara lamb and game dishes feature alongside seafood dishes using fresh fish caught daily off our shores.
The wine list is extensive and offers a selection from the best European vineyards complemented by a wide selection of "New World" wines.

Directions to the Hotel
Make your way from major ports or airports to Galway city. Take the N59 west from Galway towards Clifden, through Moycullen, Oughterard and Maam Cross. At Recess, turn right (Hotel signposted). At Kylemore, turn left (Hotel signposted). At Letterfrack, turn right (Hotel signposted). After 4 miles the Hotel gate is signposted. We look forward to meeting you soon.
