Restaurants

Cactus Jacks is a fantastic Mexican restaurant in Galway City. The menu creativity of this restaurant is second to none and the food is presented as colourfully as possible, giving it a very appetizing look. Mexican dishes along with steak and seafood are the specialties of this restaurant. All the ingredients used are fresh and obtained locally, thus ensuring a healthy nutritious meal. The excellent service of the staff and the friendly atmosphere combine to give a very memorable dining experience. Just visit this restaurant once and don't blame anyone if it is permanently ingrained into your mind as the best restaurant you have ever been to.

At Drimcong House Restaurant, they claim to do everything right. This is somewhat evident in the deliciousness of mouth watering dishes like grilled goat's cheese salad, smoked salmon sauce with chicken and grilled lamb with summer salad. In fact, beware not to let the heavenly food drive you dangerously close to manic euphoria.

The Brasserie is a unique restaurant in Galway City. As soon as you enter it, you feel it's different. No overwhelming decor can be seen and no soothing music is to be heard. The only thing you will feel will be a friendly and relaxed atmosphere inviting you to forget everything and just immerse yourself in the delicacies of this restaurant. The restaurant is world famous for its uniquely baked pizza. French and Sicillian methods are used to make dough that once baked makes the pizza light and delightfully crispy. You will find it literally impossible to take the delicious taste of the Brasserie Pizza out of your mind. Mexican tacos, barbeque ribs and wine is also served here. One could say that Goya's in Galway City suffers from a case of split personality disorder. During the day, they function as a cafe and bakery delivering nice food made from eggs, butter and fruits. In the evening, they change their name to Le Gout de Goya. The evening menu is heavily focused on fish dishes like real scampi and chips, fish stew and steamed monkfish. Fans of traditional Irish dishes will love this restaurant's version of the Irish stew.
