Killarney Golf Club is the best place to enjoy some quality golf in County Kerry. This club offers three excellent 18-hole golf courses that are sure to excite any golfer. Killeen course at this club is considered to be one of the greatest courses in the entire country. With more than 6400 metres, it poses a great challenge to the long range hitters. Water can be found at every hole so it is imperative that the player concentrate on maximum accuracy lest the ball should fall into a water hazard. This course has hosted the Irish Open and the Curtis Cup in the 1990's and proved to be a very demanding course even for the professionals. USA was beaten by Ireland and Great Britain in the Curtis Cup. Mahony's point is the second course at this club. It is the shortest of the three courses but it still offers an exciting game of golf. Wayward shots are punished badly by this course owing to the combination of strategically placed bunkers and water hazards. Lackabane course at this club is close to championship standards and the youngest of the three courses. Lakes and streams running through the course make it very hard for wayward shots to succeed. The clubhouse restaurant offers awesome dishes. A practice area and large 15-hole putting green are available. Clubs, caddies and trolleys can be hired easily. A Pro shop sells golf accessories and a refreshment shop serves soft drinks, chocolates etc.

The natural terrain of Ballybunion Golf Club is finely developed to facilitate quality golf. The links courses here are recognized to be pretty excellent. Large sand dunes and a great view of the Atlantic Ocean make Ballybunion a very beautiful place to enjoy a great game of golf. President Clinton of the United States played at this club in 1998. Practice bunkers and putting green are available so golfers can fine tune and hone their skills. Golf tuition can also be arranged for beginners and aspiring amateurs. The 18-hole Old Course at this club is hailed as one of the greatest links courses in the world. The golfing challenge offered by this course is quite unique and a thrill to experience. It becomes especially difficult to play here in the wind but the beautiful view more than makes up for it. The 18-hole Cashen course at this club suffers a bit due to the popularity of the Old Course but it is nevertheless a world class course too. Large dunes and narrow fairways coupled with small greens make this a challenging and exciting course to experience some truly sensational golf action.
