Naas Golf Club came into being in 1896 and started life as a 9-hole course. It was originally based in Halverstown but was later moved to its present location in Kerdiffstown in 1940. This club was previously known as Kildare Golf Club. It acquired its present name in 1996.
The golf course here is set on traditional parkland with short grass. The landscape features undulating terrain and mature trees lining the fairways. The greens are protected by bunks and there are also a few water hazards. Holes 1 and 11 through 18 were redesigned by Jeff Howes, an architect of considerable fame, in 2002.
