The two exciting golf courses of the K Club have been developed by the venerable Arnold Palmer, who is regarded with much reverence among golf enthusiasts for his spectacular golf course designs. The Palmer course has the unique distinction of being the first Ryder Cup venue and it is widely regarded to be the most challenging inland course in Ireland.
The Smurfit course at the K Club is quite unique in that it is an inland links course that is thought by many respected professionals to be the greatest inland course. Mounds shaped like dunes are a highlight of this course that enable visitors to enjoy the game in more detail. The 7th hole with its extensive water features is the signature hole of this course.
