Abbeyleix Golf Club is pretty old and was founded in 1895. It started operations as a 9 - hole golf course and was only recently expanded to 18 holes. Designed by respected architect Mel Flanagan, this parkland golf course has everything a golfer needs for a satisfying and challenging game of golf.

The golf course has soil based greens and breathtaking views of the surrounding area. It can indeed be regarded as one of the most sought after layouts in the Midlands. The clubhouse staff is very enthusiastic about welcoming the visitors and introducing them to the friendly atmosphere of the clubhouse.
