The foundations for Mountrath Golf Club were laid down in 1929 with just nine holes in the beginning. It wasn't until 1994 that the course got upgraded to 18 holes. The lush manicured greens of this course are the perfect way to test the ability of golfers. There are plenty of hazards here to punish those who are not careful in their shots.
With River Nore flowing through the course and the Slieve Bloom Mountains forming the backdrop, golfers will relish at the beauty of the scenery available here.
