Castletroy Golf Club was founded in 1937 on the outskirts of Limerick City. This is a very popular venue for golf enthusiasts due to the great hospitality of the staff and the venerable challenge offered by the golf course that demands accuracy and precision in shot making skills above everything else.
This golf course has become even more formidable, thanks to a major overhaul of its golfing facilities that was completed in 2005. The holes here can only be described as marvellous. The last hole is guarded by large bunkers making it one of the most difficult finishing holes. The 12th hole is said to be the most difficult due to its extremely contoured green.
