Killin Park Golf Club is relatively young as it started its operations only in 1991 but it has developed a fine reputation for the beauty of its surroundings and the tough challenge of its holes, not to mention the friendliness of its staff and members. The course is bordered by Killin Wood and the River Castletown which greatly enhance the view of the picturesque surroundings.

The renowned designer of the course Eddie Hackett uses the Castletown River on the fourth and sixth holes to successfully intimidate less experienced players and cause even seasoned players to exclaim in awe. These holes are located on island greens where only controlled shots with accurate drives have any chance of being successful.
