Castlebar Golf Club was established in 1910. It stands as one of the oldest West Ireland golf courses. The course facilities were improved considerably through a redevelopment programme in 2000. This mature parkland course is suitable for golf players of all skill levels.
The golf course has been designed by Peter McEvoy. The rolling greens of the course conform to USGA standards. The length of the course is about 6500 yards. The course has 18 holes with sand based greens and many water features that toughen the challenge by acting as hazards.
