Slievenamon Golf Club was formed in 1999. After being extended to five thousand yards, this golf club now boasts a par rating of 67 which is pretty good. The course has undergone significant redevelopment and a number of holes have been fused together to create new and fascinating challenges for the golfers. Two new holes have also been added.
This golf course is located in the beautiful valley between Slievenamon and the Comeragh Mountains. The landscape of the course is flat but the layout is quite tight with excellent fairways and well manicured greens. The 90 acre landscape of this course boasts a one acre Ring Fort as well as a preservation order on the 4th hole where a myriad of wildlife can be found enjoying their natural habitat.
