Newtownstewart Golf Club was established in 1914. It is located in undulating parkland at the foot of Bessy Bell Mountain. The parkland is part of Baronscourt which is the ancestral estate of the Duke of Abercorn. The landscape is adorned with an ample amount of beech trees that add great beauty to the scenery.
This place is brimming with wildlife. Pheasants, buzzards and squirrels are a common sight here. With its eighteen wonderful holes, this golf course is regarded as one of the best inland courses in Ireland. The course is more than five thousand metres long with a par of 70. The club also offers extensive practice facilities.
