Waterford Castle Golf Club has the unique distinction of being Ireland’s only true golf resort located on a 310 acre island of its own. Des Smyth is the proud designer of this splendid golf course. This 18-hole gem of a golf course opened in 1992. It is brimming with rows upon rows of mature trees. Even though this course is completely bordered by water on all sides, there are additional water features on four of the holes to add variety to the game. Rolling fairways, contoured and sand based greens and scores of bunkers ensure that golfers will have the time of their lives here.
