Waterford Golf Club is characterized by a very attractive parkland golf course. The design of this course is a testament to the excellent course designing talents of the great James Braid who is renowned for his feat of winning the Open Championship five times. The quality of the greens on this course is simply impeccable.
The first nine holes of the course are sticklers for accuracy and will punish careless shots with severe penalties to the golfer’s scorecard. The last nine holes go easy on the golfers. With an elevated tee, narrow fairway and threatening gorse, the finishing hole is an absolute classic! This course is indeed one of the best Irish inland courses.
