Most holes of the front nine of the course border the Irish Sea. However, the inner nine holes are based on true parkland landscape.

Charlesland golf course measures a little less than seven thousand yards and proves to be a tough test of golf. There is a luxurious hotel located on the premises that has garnered many awards for its quality of service. The marvellous thirteenth hole is the signature hole of this course. The tee of this hole is the highest point of this golf course.
