Kilcoole Golf Club is located very close to the sea with a distance of only one mile separating the two. This golf course does not suffer from the problem of having to use temporary surfaces during winter since it has been endowed with very good drainage facilities to keep the course playable all through the year.

Although this is a flat course, it still offers a great deal of challenges and proves to be a tough test of golf for golfers of all abilities. The third hole on this course features a tricky green that is quite infamous for wreaking havoc on scorecards. A bonus for older players is the fact that there is no uphill walking involved on this course.
