The golf course of the European Golf Club owes its excellent design to the amazing course designing skills of Pat Ruddy who is also credited with the design of many other famous golf courses. Pat Ruddy has described this golf course as the test for real golfers. This golf course occupies almost two hundred acres of landscape characterized by an abundance of sand dunes.
The European golf course affords excellent views of the Irish Sea from seventeen of the holes. This is the first links course to be built on the east coast of Ireland. There are plenty of huge bunkers to increase the level of difficulty for the golfers. The mounding on this course is perfect and the fast running greens prove to be a joy for putting.
